iCHEF Studio, Bandar Sri Damansara



Hidden in a walk-up apartment block, iCHEF Studio is worth hunting for the cooking of chef Francis Lau, whose four-decade resume spans respected hotels in KL to Paris, Rome, Zurich and Amsterdam. He has now teamed up with two other Malaysian former senior hotel staffers in this kitchen that serves the neighbourhood as well as curious customers from elsewhere.

Cajun-spiced soft shell crab fettuccine with roasted vegetables makes for a fuss-free but fulfilling lunch, complete with excellent pesto mushroom bruschetta (RM21 for a set).
