If the crunch is what you like best about fried chicken, Fat Fat Chicken is worth checking out and clucking over, with a crackly-crispy batter that resounds with each bite. When we visited, this was available in original or spicy (the former is our favourite, with hints of ginger) as a pick-up or delivery from Kepong's Foo Fee cafe. Fried to order, our chicken was a fresh, steaming-hot takeaway (RM20.90 for a three-piece set of drumsticks and thighs with chips, pickled cucumbers and a beverage).

Available from Foo Fee, G27, Jalan Metro Perdana 1, Kepong.
If you fear fiery fare, Thick Chick's Spicy Set (RM13) might make you chicken out - its spicy peri-peri sauce is numbingly hot, buoyed a bit by the tinge of a tang. Even a few drops of the sauce could be sweat-inducing, perfect for spicy challenges.
The roasted meat itself - a la ayam golek - lives up to Thick Chick's name, with a full-fleshed, chunky leg that remains moist and tender after delivery, accompanied by herbed rice. A non-spicy variant is also available.
Thick Chick delivers from Bangi Square, Jalan Reko, Taman Perindustrian Kajang, 43650 Kajang, Selangor. Daily, 12pm-10pm. Tel: 018-321-5370
