It's aperitivo hour all weekend long at REXKL, with a new pop-up by Spetta that serves Italian cocktails, cheeses and charcuterie every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from noon through midnight.
With Aperol, Campari and oranges on the bar, it's clear that the classics are all aboard, from Veneto's Aperol Spritz to Lombardy's Americano, from the Garibaldi named after a 19th-century Italian military general to the Negroni that has become the world's No. 2 most-ordered cocktail (after the Old-Fashioned). At RM29+ per well-crafted cocktail, it's worth ordering all.
Don't stop for just a drink though; bid buonasera to the board of Italian-origin salumi and cheeses like Grana Padano, taleggio and gorgonzola, which make for very merry munching. By next weekend, Spetta plans to introduce cooked meals, potentially including pastas and brunch fare. Andiamo, indeed.
Spetta at REXKL
80, Jalan Sultan, Kuala Lumpur. Pop-up on Friday-Sunday, 12pm-12am.
