Lick A Spoon, Subang Jaya

The Klang Valley's first dessert parlour that specialises purely in edible cookie dough, Lick A Spoon strives to live up to its name with cookie dough in fun flavours like chocolate chip, peanut butter and fudgy brownie, baked with the brand's own blend of heat-treated flour and pasteurised eggs.

The cookie dough caters best to customers with a sweet tooth, especially for flavours like the Rainbow (sugar cookie dough with mini marshmallows), though there's sea salt laced in some servings to help counter the saccharine sensibilities. This might seem like a simple indulgence, but it's meticulously made - the signature Original Chocolate Chip cookie dough (RM6 per cup), for example, comes mixed with loads of hand-chopped dark and milk chocolate chunks.

Several premium flavours feature extra ingredients, such as a dollop of jam for jelly atop the peanut butter cookie dough (RM7). You can also order Half N Halfs of cookie dough with Lick A Spoon's house-churned ice cream, prepared with real vanilla beans. If you prefer cookies to cookie dough, there's the T.D.G. Too Damn Good Cookie, thick and crunchy, topped with ice cream too RM6).

Note that Lick A Spoon is more of a grab-and-go outlet than a full-fledged cafe, since there's limited space for seating. Other options like cookie dough milkshakes should be available soon.
