DOU, Damansara Perdana

Its name might sound Chinese, but DOU's horizons are decidedly more far-reaching: Italian and French aspirations are all over the gnocchi with parsnip cream (RM38), risotto with foie gras (RM60) and beef cheeks cooked with red wine, completed with horseradish cream and charred carrots (RM65). The Far East is still somewhat represented by yakiniku-style pork tongue (RM15), but for a heartier porcine temptation, the suckling pig with porcini-and-raisin sauce, ginger butternut squash and burnt leeks exemplifies DOU's fare, which works ideally for patrons who prefer punchy vigour in their food instead of subtle nuances.
