Fenyx Bakery, Central Market

Rising in KL's revitalised Central Market, Fenyx Bakery is Fung Wong's new pork-free offshoot, serving up classic Chinese cakes and cookies in a shiny spot in the Pasar Besar shopping space. 

The wife and husband biscuits remain as well-made as ever, with their tender, pasty chew in flavours of winter melon and fermented bean curd respectively. Kaya kok puffs, century egg pastries, coconut buns and more are available.

Fun fact: Fenyx is a play on 'phoenix.'
