Bon courage, Bon Nikko - officially opening 16 September, corners of this Bandar Menjalara cafe might evoke an enchanted garden, complete with a portrait of a butterfly-enamoured fairy.
Bon Nikko’s selection is ambitious, with an attention to solid produce and sturdy techniques.
Attractions include apple wood-smoked salmon glazed with honey miso, served with charred greens and cauliflower purée, and gloriously gelatinous oxtail stew, succulently slow-braised for 12 hours, with grilled focaccia to soak the savoury sauce. Desserts include beautiful berry pavlova with a tangy yuzu centre.
