Yuan Yuan Tea Style is Kuchai Lama’s new destination for dim sum with a dash of deftness in design.

Start with the signature Palace Box, a nine-variety steamed-and-fried sampler (RM29.90) that showcases a Hokkaido scallop dumpling, black truffle siu mai, har gao, vegetable dumpling, steamed fungus ball, fried shrimp beancurd, taro spring roll, fried sesame ball and shou tao bao.

For a striking centrepiece on the table, the Fried ‘Lychee’ Shrimp Balls (RM25.90) come camera-ready - savoury-juicy, crisply popping shrimp balls that look like lychee fruits hanging from a bonsai.

A la carte individual orders are also available, spanning Salted Egg Sliced Abalone Lo Mai Kai (RM6.90) to plenty of rice and noodle platters.

Service is friendly and helpful.

Yuan Yuan Tea Style takes over the location that formerly housed Gong Teng Dim Sum, with a totally new management and menu.
