Jamboo KL, Tun H.S. Lee Road

Jamboo jazzes up Chinatown's cafe scene this week, serving up modern Asian bowls, snacks and sips.

Jam out with Jamboo's bowls topped with gula Melaka-infused chicken, edamame, seaweed flakes and crispy potatoes on brown rice, dressed with yuzu aioli. Or order the Lei Cha and Sarawak Laksa, with Muar otak-otak fries on the side, washed down with drinks that are  groovy with guava.

We were too early for lunch service, but Jamboo's red date kombucha, kaya turnover and tong sui make for pleasant breakfast.
