The Pit Stop, Ampang Jaya

Dine in a disused helicopter: The Pit Stop promises the distinctive experience of having a brunch of beehoon and nasi lemak in an 11-year-old, 15-seat AugustaWestland AW139.

This medium-sized, twin-engined chopper was retired from Subang SkyPark after it encountered technical problems; it was later employed for flying lessons.

It’s now part of this new cafe near Ulu Klang, less than a five-minute drive from Zoo Negara, furnishing a fun backdrop for your social media feed. The food is very fairly priced - big plates of nasi lemak and fried beehoon cost only RM5 and RM4 respectively.

Bookings are currently not required for the chopper.
