Satuu might be Setapak’s one and only home-based cafe, founded by baker Syahir, helmed by barista Zaidi, in a corner-house exterior that blends classic and contemporary cultural charm with a laid-back neighbourhood friendliness.
Syahir’s cakes are fairly priced, fresh and moist, with the right balance of sweetness and flavour. The Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake is luscious, caramelised comfort (RM10), while the Butter Bundt Cake is light-crumbed and bright-tasting, beautifully fit for a royal tea (RM8).
Zaidi makes a satisfying latte (RM8) too, pleasingly aromatic and creamy-textured, worth a short 15-minute drive from the city centre.
