Sheraton Petaling Jaya celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival this year with delightfully distinctive flavours for its snow skin mooncakes, from Ginger with Chocolate to Chitose Strawberry with White Chocolate, as well as Japanese-inspired flavours like Green Tea or Yuzu.
Executive Chef Edmund Ng and his team prepare these soft, pastel-hued mooncakes with fresh, premium ingredients, relying on produce like Valrhona cocoa powder to yield delectably luscious centres.
Mooncakes this exquisite deserve special stylish boxes, which come in three possible choices: Pink Blossom, Orange Sapphire, and Moonstone Treasure. The boxes double as jewellery chests and tissue dispensers, making them the ideal gift for family, loved ones and mooncake box collectors.
Purists who prefer classic baked mooncakes can savour the Baked Pure Lotus Paste, Baked Red Bean Paste, Baked White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, and Baked Pandan Paste with Single Yolk.
All these limited-edition mooncakes are now available for Early Bird preorders at RM118 nett per box of four pieces before 26 August 2021.
The boxes will subsequently be priced at RM148 nett till 21 September 2021. For a la carte orders, the snow skin mooncakes are RM32 nett apiece, while the classics are RM23 nett each.
Each purchase of a mooncake box includes a complimentary Food & Beverage voucher worth RM100 nett, applicable for use at Sheraton Petaling Jaya’s dining outlets with a minimum purchase of RM350 nett. Discounts of up to 15% for traditional baked mooncakes are available for Marriott Bonvoy members and select debit/credit cardholders.
In addition to mooncakes, Sheraton Petaling Jaya's Yue restaurant is slated to offer a Mid-Autumn Set Menu of six- and seven-course Chinese feasts at RM168 and RM198 per person respectively. These will be available in August and September, subject to the official state policies on dining out.
