The city centre's latest omakase restaurant specialises in Edomae sushi, showcasing marinated aged seafood draped over rice seasoned brown with red vinegar.
Iki Omakase currently offers a sushi box for takeout and delivery - at 12 pieces for RM228, it's a reasonably priced collection, considering it's packed with premium seafood, from otoro to anago. Special add-ons are available; uni is worthwhile at RM60.
Sliced, patted and put together to order, the sushi meets the mark for a satisfactory bring-home experience. Fish, scallops and shrimp all remain luscious and clean-tasting, perfectly proportioned for pleasing flavours and textures. Iki's a place with potential.
