The two Malaysian sisters who founded Fito have been home bakers for over six years, building up their confidence by consistently creating a 'funfair in the oven (fito).' In December 2020, they finally opened their first dessert parlour, turning what looks like a former office space with meeting rooms into as warm and cosy a cafe as possible.
A teatime trip is a true treat. Try the fluffy Hojo Darjeeling tea-based chiffon, lightly frosted with Chantilly, dressed with a dried rose (RM9), and mini banana cake with chiffon blended with banana flesh for a bright, walnut-topped fruitiness (RM9).
Kombucha is equally enticing here - we're fans of the floral chrysanthemum kombucha (RM13) and moderately caffeinated coffee kombucha (RM15), both relatively easy-drinking with pleasant fermented nuances.
