Bangsar's Mockingbird recently launched a weekend brunch menu - the restaurant is now exclusively open on Saturday and Sunday (with weekdays mainly reserved for special events).
Familiar favourites line the selection, cooked with confidence - it's been awhile since we had Eggs Benedict, so it made sense to try Mockingbird's version, an enjoyable effort of creamy poached eggs over tenderly braised pulled beef ribs, spiced up subtly with chilli hollandaise and coriander pesto, with ebiko and micro greens for extra flourishes (RM28).
Weekends are made for day-drinking - Mockingbird obliges with a French Kiss (RM28; gin with gold Cava) and Sangrias spiked with a little bit more, blending Luis Felipe wine with Hennessy VSOP and Cointreau (RM28).
