Patisserie Royale's plated desserts seem fit for a queen, elegantly elaborate, decadent in their flavours and sumptuous in texture.
The selection of French-style gateaux includes a take on the St. Honore cake, a choux pastry puff made luscious with whipped salted caramel (RM23), a Mont Blanc of matcha and adzuki-almond cream for delicately nuanced Japanese flourishes (RM23), and a lemon curd tart enriched with mascarpone chantilly cream (RM22).
Even the cakes and beverages showcase intriguing touches, from the lychee cheesecake, fruity and floral with osmanthus gelee with an almond shortcrust (RM15.80), to the green apple juice blended with Darjeeling tea and habanero lime syrup for extra aroma and a hint of heat (RM22).
