Langar at the Golden Temple, Amritsar

Billed as the world's largest langar (communal free kitchen), tens of thousands of Sikh devotees and other visitors are served everyday with roti, dal and vegetables, prepared at every hour by an army of volunteers at Amritsar's Golden Temple, one of the most spectacular destinations in northern India's Punjab state.
