Gastronomic globetrotters can cross culinary borders at Chiqui Don, where the itinerary might include nibbling on a trio of crispy coned tacos, stuffed with Tex-Mex chili con carne, Russian chicken stroganoff and French ratatouille (RM19), and croquettes of red peppers stuffed with fleshy crab meat, spicy enough to set most Malaysian palates ablaze (RM29).
Chiqui Don has intriguing plans for how its repertoire will evolve - its current selection is two-thirds complete, but customers can submit suggestions for recipes that they want the restaurant to serve; the most compatible proposals should eventually make it on the menu.
Bartender Vimuth Joseph's cocktails also showcase multinational flair - the Berlin Wall crumbles with caramelised sugar cubes set aflame over house-made German-inspired mulled wine and cherry brandy and overproof rum (RM32), while Journey To The Port takes us to Portugal and back to Asia with its blend of port wine, lemongrass and jasmine tonic (RM28).
