Harati Newari, Kathmandu

Harati Newari's cooking reflects the traditions of Nepal's Newari people, the historical inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley. Buffalo meat is prominent on the menu, through potently seasoned offal like lungs and tongue or stuffed in momo dumplings. If you dare, try the kachila - spiced marinated raw buffalo meat, reminiscent of tartare.
