Pebble, Taman Tun Dr Ismail

Rocking up with playful pizzazz, KL's latest burger parlour showcases lively highlights like spiced-up fried chicken burgers (RM14.90; with jalapenos and sriracha aioli) and luxed-up wagyu beef burgers (RM48; with foie gras and truffle aioli). The chicken is thick and tender, while the wagyu beef is served medium-rare in a tribute to the meat's sheer succulence, made extra-luscious with thinly sliced toppings of foie.

Customers can also build their own burgers from scratch: Pick a protein - say, the regular beef patty (RM10) - then choose a topping or three - in our case, a fried cheese patty (RM5), smoked duck bacon (RM5) and guacamole (RM5) - plus a sauce - the smoked cheese sauce seems right (RM3) - and voila, you have your very own creation to chow down on, paired perhaps with a lovable lotus biscuit caramel milkshake (RM15). We'd like to see Pebble dial up the dynamics for punchier burgers, but this is still a rock-solid bet for folks who enjoy fresh, hearty burgers with plenty of possible flavour combinations.
