Usher in the Year of the Pig this Lunar New Year with classic Shanghainese cuisine at Shanghai Restaurant in JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur. The renowned restaurant is led by Executive Chinese Chef Wong Wing Yuek, who is dedicated to serving only the best and most authentic dishes from his native city.

Shanghai is the only hotel Chinese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that specialises in exquisite Shanghainese cuisine. Guests can enjoy more than 100 authentic dishes originated from the Northern and Southern regions of Shanghai. For the Lunar New Year, Chef Wong and his team have specially curated three set menus and a la carte menus that are available for lunch and dinner from 5 January until 19 February 2019, starting from RM288.80 per person. Toss to good fortune and wealth this year with Shanghai Restaurant’s exquisite variety of Yee Sang, topped with delicacies such as lobster, geoduck, abalone, jellyfish, salmon or fresh fruits for a refreshing twist on a traditional dish, all served with Shanghai's special homemade sauce. For vegetarians, there is also a yee sang served with vegetarian ham.

Gather your family and friends for an auspicious feast, with one of three specially curated set menus at Shanghai. Luxuriate your palates in specialities such as Braised superior fish maw soup with sea cucumber, bird’s nest, mushrooms and shredded chicken, Steamed cod stuffed with Chinese ham served with honey and supreme stock paste, Stir-fried succulent prawns with sweet and sour and mustard paste, Traditional rice with Chinese waxed meat and vegetable in casserole, Steamed bamboo fish Shanghainese-style with preserved vegetable, Chinese ham and mushrooms, Braised Spanish pork with pine nuts and vegetable and Sweetened cordyceps flower with snow fungus.
