The Kuching-origin Nuromen Cafe launched its first peninsular-based outpost recently in Petaling Jaya, specialising in beef noodles, both classic and contemporary: For the former, the garlicky kolo mee seeks to bring a bit of Sarawak to Damansara Uptown, served with beef soup complete with stewed beef, tripe and tendon (RM11.90 for the special); for the latter, have a hearty bowl of ramen-like noodles with Australian Meltique beef and Japanese-style whole onsen egg (RM24). Flavours here are mild and clean, making for a mellow meal.
