Sunbathing and sundowners: W Kuala Lumpur's WET Deck looks poised to become one of KL's most popular poolside bars, endowed with a wide-open view of the city centre's skyline.
WET Deck boasts its very own cocktail list; the selection is distinctive and surprisingly thoughtful, with numerous nods to Malaysian inspirations.
Escape (RM45; dark rum, dry orange curacao, tuak, almonds, coconut, banana) pays homage to the azure waters surrounding Sabah's Sipadan island, while Gunung (RM45; rum, black honey, turmeric) marks a reference to Mount Kinabalu. Kopi-Whoa (RM45; Campari, coffee, orange, salt, sparkling water) is a cheeky citrus reinterpretation of kopi-o, and Milo Kaw Kaw (RM45; whisky, Milo, condensed milk, espresso) is an adult version of a childhood classic. Sip while snacking on seaweed popcorn.
