KL's favourite Japanese bartender is back, working his magic in the city centre. Formerly of Empire Damansara's The Bar Kinugawa, the affable Sam Kinugawa now holds court at the sleek, shadowy Bar Shake on Persiaran KLCC. His Smoky Martini (RM48) brings stylish showmanship to a sultry cocktail, while the Truffle Martini (RM58) is finely balanced with aromatic earthiness, but our guilty indulgence is Sam's fruit sakes (RM45) - if it's in season, try the mangosteen-infused sake, with gorgeously natural notes of one of our favourite fruits.
