One of 2018's most distinctively crafted new cafes, Nuan is meant to be a local community space that serves Sungai Buloh, complete with corners where families and friends can come together, complemented by two-storey-high bookshelves brimming with memoirs and mystery novels, plus a play section for children. At the centre of everything, baristas concoct cappuccinos in a coffee bar strikingly set on the mezzanine.
True to its name, Nuan warms the heart by mainly tackling comfort fare from the East, with highlights like Taiwanese-inspired lu rou noodles, soft and smooth with stewed pork (RM12), and omelette-coated rice layered with otak-otak and fish (RM16).
Beverages convey plenty of Asian influences too. Cold-brewed Japanese green tea (RM11), an iced piccolo latte spiked with Gula Melaka (RM12) and house-made Bentong ginger hot tea (RM12 per pot) make Nuan a worthwhile stop even for a sip.
