Some interesting fare here for Subang residents: Start with Eats Sini's revisionist take on Malaysia's national dish, with nasi lemak reconfigured as mild-tasting breaded rice balls (reminiscent of Italian arancini), stuffed with shishamo (the substitute for ikan bilis) and hard-boiled quail egg, accompanied by Japanese cucumbers, crispy kailan, olive powder, crushed peanuts and sambal (RM30). It's a successfully eye-catching presentation that first popped up nearly two years ago at Le Noir in TREC KL, where Eats Sini's chef-founder formerly helmed the kitchen.
Other potentially crowd-pleasing temptations include the tasty butternut squash risotto with crispy sage and ricotta cheese (RM30; it's worth adding RM10 for a topping of brined roasted chicken), squid with avocado puree and chilli sauce (RM25) and cheesecake layered with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and salted caramel (RM17).
