When visiting Melaka, one of the must-try dishes is chicken rice balls (accompanied by roasted or steamed chicken). You will find many different restaurants in Melaka serving this specialty; previously we have tried the famous ones. Hoe Kee and Chung Wah.
I'm not a fan of queuing for food (especially when the kids are with us), so we chose Famosa Chicken Rice Ball, as it was the closest one to where we parked at Jonker Street. Haha! Later on, we discovered that they have several other outlets within walking distance of this restaurant.
Service was quick and within 10 minutes, we were served. Our preference is chicken breast, hence the server suggested that we order 1/4 portion of steamed (RM10) and 1/4 portion of roasted (RM10), which would guarantee us getting the part that we want (and we get to try both types of meat). The chicken, sourced from Bukit Mertajam, was smooth and tender, and I particularly liked the steamed version. The portion is also generous.

We ordered 10 chicken rice balls (RM0.40 each) as we had a big breakfast that morning (but if you are hungry, I would recommend 4-5 per person as they're only the size of golf balls). The rice was fragrant as it has been cooked with chicken stock.
To cool down in the heat, try the Nyonya Cendol (RM4.70) with green cendol strands, kidney beans and gula melaka.
We enjoyed our meal here :)
