TTDI's new hog haven is worth pigging out at: Start with the seared pork belly, cooked with Guinness for a 'drunken' embellishment, partnered with Hasselback potatoes, capsicum puree, grilled apples and apple cider cream (RM18.80 nett), and smoked ribs, flavoured with jasmine tea for a Foochow flourish, completed with scallion mash and roasted carrots (RM18.80 too).
Lye@110's kitchen deserves praise for the satisfying execution of its creations, which clock in at reasonable prices for portions that straddle the line between small plates and main courses. You'll also find everything from salted pork neck to breaded pork fillet, pork chops with spicy mint sauce to bangers with mash - all at RM18.80 each as well.
The wallet-comforting rates extend to the beer; cans of Kirin, Leo, Bintang, Budweiser, San Miguel, Singha, Tiger, Tsingtao and many more cost RM8.80 each.
Be sure to also check out the Jenga blocks on the tables; they come with their own twists. Bonus fun fact: Lye@110 reputedly takes the surname of one of its founders.
