Le Meridien Putrajaya is proud to present its first ever 'buka puasa' Ramadan buffet themed 'Destinasi Rasa' in its all-day dining restaurant, Latest Recipe. The buffet spread is available from 27th May to 24th June 2017, and will feature over 100 specially curated signature dishes from different states in Malaysia such as cencaru pais kelapa, ayam kalio pekat, ekor asam pedas Melaka and daging dendeng ibunda specially created by Chef Khairul Nizam and his team. The menus are rotated throughout the week so diners can enjoy a more varied spread.
No Ramadan spread is complete without the ubiquitous roast lamb - at Le Meridien Putrajaya, the lamb is marinated with Arabic spices and is slow roasted for 4 hours. The roast lamb was tender and well-marinated, best savoured with the Mandy rice.

One of the highlights of the spread is the Ayam Ungkep, a traditional family favorite rarely found in restaurants around the city. This dish has its roots in Javanese cooking and is prepared using traditional spices, dressed with local herbs and will be featured on the menu every evening.
There will also be a range of appetizers such as kerabu (Malay salads), ulam-ulaman and seafood on ice such as flower crabs, prawns and oysters.

Seafood on ice
Be sure to check out the gulai kawah and gulai ayam, served out of large woks... this is a specialty dish from the state of Kelantan.
I loved the daging dendeng, a recipe from Chef Nizam's grandmother from Perak. Thinly sliced beef is cooked in a sweet and spicy sauce - simply delectable!
Kari Ayam Kapitan
Udang Goreng Cili Api
Pajeri Nenas
Belacan Fried Chicken & Cheesy Banana Fritter
Mee Hailam
There will be five live stations, featuring daily specials such as dim sum, yong tau foo, stir fried radish cake, and grill seafood/meat.
The grilled fish is highly recommended.
Grilled squid
Otak-otak and satar
Ayam Percik
If you are a fan of Japanese cuisine, there will be sushi rolls, salmon and tuna sashimi as well as tempura in the Japanese counter.
For desserts, we recommend the Turkish ice cream - lovely, creamy and lots of fun! There will also be rojak buah, cakes and pastries, cheese, as well as local desserts such as kuih, roti durian, and cendol.
Colorful Ramadan drinks
Roti Durian in the making
Western desserts - pavlova and cakes
Entertainment for the evening - live ghazal band
The 'Destinasi Rasa' Ramadan Buffet is priced at RM158 nett per adult and RM79 nett for children aged 5-12. There will be an early bird discount for bookings made before 21st May - RM110 nett per adult and RM55 nett per child.
