This Christmas Eve, Nizza, the French-Mediterranean restaurant at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara will be presenting a magnifique four-course dinner menu.
The interior of this newly opened restaurant is modern, sleek yet warm. The blue and white tiled floors, which are also evident on some tabletops is a nod to the French Riviera, which the restaurant draws inspiration from. Vast side doors open up to the pool and sophisticated bar area, allowing a breeze to caress guests as they dine in the restaurant. Diners can also watch the chefs in the semi-open kitchen, via a glass wall.
Start your meal with the elegant Smoked Salmon Tartare, topped with salmon roe, vanilla aioli and piparra peppers, for a slight spicy kick.
Perk up your appetite with this vibrant Slow-Roasted Tomato Soup, served with a spinach and feta ravioli with basil and oregano. The soup was smooth, creamy and tangy.
Lemon Thyme Sorbet - Palate Cleanser
For mains, diners have a choice of either Oven-roasted sea bream with Manila clams, Grilled Angus ribeye or Turkey Crown Roulade. For the preview, we sampled the turkey which was lovely and moist. This was served with candied chestnuts and giblet sauce.
For dessert, we were presented with this delightful Buche De Noel, aka chocolate yule log cake. Perfectly apt for the festive occasion.
